Cy Waits upset with “The World According to Paris”

Being in the spotlight and on a reality show has taken a toll on Paris Hilton and Cy Waits’ relationship.

The couple, who have been dating for a year, are currently going through a rough patch and are “reevaluating” things, sources tell me.

“Paris loves and respects Cy very much,” a source close to Paris tells me. “He has been through a lot with her. But sometimes it’s hard on the relationship because he’s not used to this lifestyle, the media and being on a show.”

Her Oxygen reality series has been a particularly sore subject for them.

“Cy is very upset with The World According to Paris,” a source says. “He felt that way too much of their private life was shown. When he signed on to do the show, he had no idea the cameras would be so invasive.”

Another issue is Paris’ constant travel and Cy being based in Vegas.

“Cy has a daughter and he’s very protective about keeping her out of the media and wanting her to lead a normal life,” a source close to Cy says.

Despite their problems, he wants to make things work, but the heiress is unsure whether he’s “the one”.

“Sometimes he feels like Paris isn’t ready to take the next step. They both love each other very much and are deciding what to do now.”

I don’t know if this is true. I could see Paris reading this & being all “This is total BS! Where do they get this?” I mean, it’s very unlikely that Cy had “no idea this would show their private life”. He had to be aware when the cameras were rolling. :\

LOL she dropped Doug Reinhardt because he wanted to do a reality show.
I think they made a stunning couple and were a good match.
You hardly see Doug anymore, so he wasn’t the publicity hound he was made out to be.

Cy seems like a nice guy too.
But relationships can get complicated, so it’s hard to comment as an outsider.

Cy seems nice, but i could never put up with the constant jealousy. Way too controlling and insecure for my taste. he had to know what he was getting into by dating paris given her fast-paced life and travel demands.

Don’t agree with going through phones liek that… it seems to be intrusive and a one-way tickect to splits ville.

oh, and who exactly is allison melnick? i know that name from somewhere else? BTW, what an ugly tattoo! just “let it be” in simply script like a third-grader! Wow, no script or artwork to go with it! I hope she didn’t pay too much for that “chicken-scratch tat.”

Alison was in both seasons of US BFF & British Best Best Friend. You probably saw her there.

It looks to me like Paris only enjoys the courtship phase of a relationship.
But she backs off when a man displays a few needs of his own lol.

Oh well, who she dates is her own business.

I agree. But i just think it would really bug me if my guy went through my phone and got all jealous when he couldn’t reach me like cy does. Out there somewhere must be the perfect guy for paris!
