Even though some people may find Vanessa “weak” or “creepy,” I think she should be Paris’ official BFF. The one thing I really like about her is that she’s truly there just for Paris!

Also, this is a great show. It’s not what I thought it would, prior to watching the episodes. Again, it’s really well done, and entertaining! Everything Paris does is unique and special. She’s the best!!

Corrie and Vanessa have become my favourites over the course of the first eight episodes. I too am pleasantly surprised that the show has been more fun than the trainwreck I initially feared. I think it’s a show I could for the most part enjoy on DVD again (I hope the US version makes it to UK shores and we don’t just get the homegrown version).

OMG Poor Shelley! I really liked her. I hope Brittany wins. She IS truly there for Paris. Just because she wants to be a singer, she can’t be Paris’s BFF? Puh-lease! Vanessa is sooo creepy and whiny and FAKE. She looks sooo scary in that banner you have. OMG. Brittany all the way!!!

seriously, with even ryan seacrest gushing about how endearing shelly dum-ass is, that’s just toooo much.

again, shelly is 22 going on 12. would we ever find it so endearing for a grown man to act like a pre-teen? of course not!! but for females, well isn’t that just too cute! yuck!

she has socially isolated herself in a religion-social-time-warp-hole in the space-time continuum….to be just sitting around with that vacuous smirk and vacant stare, she looks like she should be in therapy. i don’t really think she understands life or how to interact with her peers at all.

this clueless girl is just simply psycologically and emotionally inept and 10 years behind in development. she would be even more of a stalker than vanessa…haven’t we all seen the way too needy psycho chick in the old movie “Single White Female?” that would be shelly!!!!

please, paris, NEVER call this chick or let her near you!!

OMG Juju what the freaking hell is wrong with you? There is nothing wrong with Shelley. She is a sweet, down-to-earth, country girl who likes going to church. What is wrong with that? She’s shy – like Paris! She’s a virgin, so she’s no slut. She’s sweet and has faith, what’s wrong about that? She seems like a really nice person, she never got into fights with anyone and was really refreshing. She was totally genuine unlike other losers in the house. She’s not emotionally undeveloped or stuck in a time warp or whatever. If anyone needs help, it’s YOU. And actually, grown men acting like pre-teens IS generally seen as endearing (re: JD on Scrubs, Shawn on Psych, etc) so get your facts straight!

Going to church and not “cuss”ing is completely irrelevant to whether or not you’re a good and worthwhile person. Church is just a place to get brainwashed – many hyprocrites go to it and the genuinely good people can be good without it. And it’s possible to not be a virgin and also not be a slut (a term I don’t like anyway as it tends to only get applied to women in a ridiculous double standard). What makes someone a slut anyway? Some people would call a girl a slut for simply having had sex at some point in their lives. Others would call a girl a slut just for how they dress!

I don’t hate Shelley but I’m not sorry to see her go at this point (most of the people on the show seem to still be friends with Paris anyway). People that equate things like church and “not cussing” with goodness tend to be too judgemental towards others. The fact that the other contestants had already heard about the going to church three times a week shows that she likes to brag about it as if it makes her better than everyone else.

That’s sad. I liked Shelly, even though I got a little bit shocked with her reaction — or should I say the lack of it? — towards the fake elimination, but I do think she was as good person.
I have my own opinions about religion, which I’d rather keep to myself, but I also can’t see nothing wrong in believing in something. Sometimes atheists can be more judgemental and down-looking.
I want Brittany to be her BFF. It’s not that I find Vanessa is too up-looking creepy or something, but I just cannot believe all the compliments she makes came truly from heart. I know it’s too judgemental from me, but I just can’t help it.
Even if she really means it, there’s another problem: Vanessa is too up-looking. She treats Paris like an idol, not like a friend and not like a friend. I don’t think it’s bad, but I think that, in any intimate relationship (i.e., romantic and friendly) people have to see them as equals and that’s unfortunately no the case. It must be quite annoying having to deal with a fan 24/7.
But just because Vanessa isn’t a BFF-material, it doesn’t justify why Brittany should be picked. I just think she is a good person and that she really wants to be friends with Paris. Plus: they are similar enough to be in syntony, but also different enough to complete each other.
