Ellen Pompeo Whines About Paris Hilton And Media
Ellen Pompeo says Hollywood socialites “who are rich and famous for nothing” set a bad example.“I just think the media should take this country in a different direction,” the 37-year-old actress tells the new issue of Los Angeles Confidential Magazine, on newsstands Aug. 15.“We’re so focused on the wrong things. We’re teaching young girls that this is what they should be focusing on: rich and famous girls who are rich and famous for nothing.”
In an apparent reference to coverage of Paris Hilton and her ilk, Pompeo says: “What are we doing to this younger generation? It’s not very responsible.”

Well, for one thing, Pompeo, get something straight: PARIS HILTON IS NOT FAMOUS FOR NOTHING!
For another thing, everyone makes mistakes, and we grow up from them. It is the media that emphasized on Paris Hilton’s DUI arrest. They made an even bigger story out of what it was. There are so many other celebrities who are caught driving under the influence almost every month.
Finally, Pompeo understands at least one thing very clearly: “We’re so focused on the wrong things.”
Yes, TMZ and most blogs, who always call her “ex-con” and “hotel heiress,” focus on the negative side of celebrities because that’s what amuses their haters. Even if Ellen Pompeo just gained her popularity by staring in Greys Anatomy, she shouldnt judge a person like Paris Hilton. She maybe didnt call it by name, but of course she was talking about Paris, bcuz theres no such person out there like Paris. And Paris is an individual entertainer aswell, and i love her for being that special.
Before loving Paris, i was very crytical myself. But her good heart and bright outgoing shy personality made me change my mind.
Why judging Paris bcuz shes smart? I could imagine Paris becoming a Star by doing what she did without influences.
Of course it would be different, but Paris is a born entertainer, i figured that out, after realizing theres something special about her. So dont envy Paris for her status, envy her work, how about that?
