Happy New Year 2010!

For the first time in many years, instead of hosting a party, Paris Hilton has decided to simply “[spend] New Years in Aspen with Doug and his family.”

She recently said to Radar Online: “I love Aspen I have been coming here since I was a little girl.”

I thought it was weird a few days before the New Years Eve and no news about her parties and stuff.
It’s nice of her to just spend it with family and not making money.

Paris’ popularity has definitely tapered off. Even the previously-reliable E!News barely mentions her any more. Hopefully, she is just in a transistion and can find a new angle to remain relevent and command premium prices for her products, which includes herself through her appearances.

I’m sure she’s miffed at the success of previous “friends” that have made it off of being her friend, ie. the kardashians and Nicole Richie – who BTW will appear on the season premier of Project Runway next week as a guest celebrity “designer”. I bet even Nicky H. is pissed about that!
