“Hilton Had Knowledge of the Suspension of Her Driving Privilege” According To City Attorney
The evidence conclusively establishes that Hilton had knowledge of the suspension of her driving privilege when stopped on February 27, 2007, having been notified on at least two prior occasions that her driving privilege had been suspended. First, DMV notified Hilton of the suspension on November 21, 2006 by sending her a Notice of Suspension via first-class mail that was not returned undeliverable or unclaimed to the most recent Hilton reported to DMV. Second, CHP Officers notified Hilton of the suspension on January 15, 2007, in person, at which time Hilton signed an acknowledgement of having received such notification and was prevented from driving away from the scene because of the suspension.
