I Wanna Be Paris’ New Best Friend!

MTV has ordered 10 episodes, and the show will air during the fourth quarter of 2008.
The new reality show will either be titled “I Wanna Be Paris’ New Best Friend!” or “Paris Hilton’s My New BFF.” As reported earlier, casting has already began, but it’s not clear if Paris will officially choose contestants tonight.
Anyway, Variety reports: “[The show] will feature 20 potential hangers-on battling to prove they’ve got what it takes to hang with Hilton. They’ll do so via reality competitions designed to test their loyalty, endurance and ability to navigate the politics involved with being a celeb’s best bud.”
What Paris forgot to mention is that MTV just launched a website for its casting. Some of the contestants will be picked from there. I’m not even sure, but you should check out the website: ParisBFF.
So all of you who wanted to participate can either email Paris or go to that website. Those who can’t or don’t want to, can vote for your favourite on the official website.
Production begins in May.

I sent her a e-mail talking about how big of a fan I am and asking about her music career. I can’t be on the show but I just hope she reads it!

i read on the site that just U.S. citizens can take part…right?
im Italian and so i cant…how much i hate my origin!!!!! i cant stand other people stay with her, because most of them don’t deserve…they’re stupid people who just become famous hanging out with her…Paris, stay away from that..if you want to choose among them you have to do an accurate choice… i cant know if i could be the perfect friend for you, but i saw some videos on the website and i undestand that people dont love you as you really are, but only because you’re famous and you go to the best parties…but i love your personality, your character, because you’re so sweet,nice,smart and you’re the perfect girl that a person want to have as best friend…i dont care becoming famous because i could be your friend, but what i really care is to stay with you, to share things as friends, because you are for me the one person that i love very much in my life

I think that for friends and love it is necessary to wait, instead of to search for it…
– not in such a way… Here who will be in the list:
1. 30 % of party girls which not have interests of you, They just wanna spend time and your money + some fame…
2 . 20 % gays
3. 30 % young girls and boys,which do not understand who you are, and with which it will not be interesting to you…
4 . 20% good people

It’s what I call the mild fan phenomenon. Most of them are not bad people, but they are the party types. They are sort of fans of Paris and will defend her, but they are not necessarily fans for the same reasons we are. They mostly like Paris for the reasons you gave. They don’t really understand her, and the support is weak.
This is one of the reasons why this show is unattractive to me. It’s a great opportunity for mild fans, who make up the majority of her fanbase, but there will also be exploiters.
