Kim Kardashian explains her friendship status with Paris Hilton
In a new interview for Harper's Bazaar’s magazine, Kim Kardashian said that she learned a lot from Paris Hilton:
“We had so much fun. I had never traveled the world like that. It was so neat, all the things we did. I think I learned a lot from her.”
She also added: “We don't really talk. As I always say, everyone comes into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. And she was in my life for a long time. There comes a point in life where you just grow apart and you realize you're not as similar as you thought. And I never run into her anywhere. Isn't that so weird?”

Again, you’ll have to give me strong arguments to convince me that Kim completely used Paris to become famous. Being friends with someone and accepting the opportunity to become famous, due to some public interest, does not necessarly mean she used her (…unless if we don’t know the whole story).
Just because Kim is more famous at the moment (as some may claim) is not a reason to dislike her, or stop being friends with her. Just saying!

I think it’s more likely than not than Kim and more pointly, her mother, Kris Jenner, totally used Paris to put Kim in the spotlight and make a career for Kim and the rest of the family.
Kris Jenner is quite savy in the entertainment business and used to help Kim’s father, Robert Kardashian, as he was an entertainment lawyer. Although more famous for his role in OJ Simpson’s defense team, Robert was actually quite a player in the buisness side of the entertainment industry and star-making.
Kathy Hilton and Kris Jenner were close friends, with Kathy even throwing a baby shower for Kris when she had one of her younger girls. After Paris and Nicole Richie had their infamous feud and wouldn’t film togehter for season 4 of Simple Life, Kris suggested to Kathy that Paris and Kim hang out. Sure enough, there was Kim appearing in a SL 4 episode!
Next Kim started traveling with Paris to be seen and photograohed by papparazzi everywhere, clubs around the world etc. When SL ended, Kris had Kim and the whole family were well-positioned to start heir own reality show, which is produced by the former producers of The Simple Life.
Since then, Kim has completely copied everything Paris has done; paid club appearances – including Las Vegas Pussy cat Dolls revue, modeling, acting, bit movie parts, perfumes, Carls Junior, etc, etc.
Kim learned from Paris very well and Kris was the driving force to exploit not only Paris, but kathy Hilton. Now Kris and kathy are no longer friends like they used to be.
What I find funny is that the same sources, like TMZ and other gossip sites alwasy swoon over Kim and compliment her on the “empire” she has built, but still completely criticize Paris for everything!
So, after all this rambling, yeah i think Kim and especially Kris knew exactly what they were doing by cozying up to Paris!

Really..? Omg, I’m scratching my head now.
See I don’t know the whole story and what’s true what’s not. Keeping up with the Kardashians is produced by the former producers of TSL? I thought it was produced by Ryan Seacrest and his company. In any case, I have to say Kim and her family has been pretty clever and have well exploited their fame.

@Admin, Bunim/Murray are the production crew behind both Simple Life & Keeping Up. Ryan is EP on Keeping, but the crew is the same crew from Simple.

If anyone copies Paris it’s Nicole Richie , she is a Paris mini- me.
Nicole even poses like Paris, all the while acting as if she is better than her.
Oh well, Paris has a great life and a lot of good qualities worth copying.

Benji – you’re rigth about the production package for both shows.
Jen – I agree. I think nicole has exploited paris by distancing herself from paris. By doing that she can benefit from the paris-bashing and portray herself as moving on, changing from the paris-style party scene, etc, etc. and of course Nicole has expertly played the “Mom-card” that so legitimizes her as a ‘good-girl” now and doing what young women are “supposed to do.” Nicole is very clever as well!

Everyone copies Paris Hilton, top movie stars on the red carpet, Katy Perry with her video, etc. etc. I could list many more examples. KK. is the ultimate mimic. Paris is still the BEST ever.
