News About The Dropping Of Paris Hilton By Record Label Starts Poisoning The Internet

Why did it take so much time for all the lower-class news websites to report this fake (?) report?

Well, it looks like the gossip websites have started to happily report that Paris Hilton’s record label has dropped her. Not a single website has question about the source of this report. They all report it because they know it is a negative article about Paris, so why not mention it! Let’s make Paris’ life appear more depressing and pitiful for the haters.

The only websites, the real news websites, who haven’t report this news is the CNN, CBS, FOX types who depend on the Associated Press. Of course, the Associated Press won’t report a opinion-oriented article that doesn’t want to name its source, but the low-class articles will fool as always a good portion of fans and haters.

This is interesting because it will likely make more awareness about Paris Hilton’s music. Sometimes, I feel like screaming at the media “TALK ABOUT PARIS HILTON’S MUSIC!”

All of the new websites who are reporting the news have now quoted Hollywood.com, which is not a reliable source, because they quoted a more unreliable source, the Mirror!

Clearly, the writer who wrote another version of the original article did some sloppy research and ended up making this laughable claim:

“Warner Bros invested 250,000 dollars in a music video and world promotional tour for “Stars Are Blind,” which brought in less than half a million record sales, Hollywood.com reported. The song reached number 18 on the charts. A second video, “Nothing in This World,” sold 77,000 copies.” LOL

Check it out.

We didn’t mention this story because it reflected badly on Paris – we reported it because it’s a piece of gossip about a pop star we are interested in, and isn’t that what blogging is about? We personally love her album, hence why we want to see ‘Screwed’ released. And we’re pretty sure that for someone with an impending jail sentence, this story is the last of her worries.

And on the subject of reporting rumours – isn’t that what you did on the story above this? Rumour – Paris Hilton might go to jail today?

Yes? And I do report rumours, but that wasn’t a very serious one. I think the rumour that Paris is dropped by Warner is more serious, I did mention it and I commented on it.

You are the one who is biased in your reports. Any negative publicity about Paris, you put off as false.

First of all, about the first article you posted about Paris being dropped from her label:

1) It would be the smart thing for Warner to drop her. Both Warner and Paris have lost money on the recording project.

2.) You said that Warner didn’t spend a “small fortune” promoting her because it was massive promotion. Do you not realize that “small fortune” is a metaphor for “alot of money” ?

3.) “Many people agree that it was the best album of 2006.” – Are you kidding me? It was a good album, I’ll give you that. But it was FAR FROM the best album of 2006. Many artists put album out way better than hers last year.

4.) “Has Paris Hilton been working on the album for years? False. It took one year to produce “Paris.”]” – Wrong. She’s been working on the album since 2003.

5.) I wouldn’t be surprised if the story is true. It would be a smart move by Warner Bros.

If you want this site to be more “professional” you need to a) Be unbiased in your news reports, b) Work on your grammar, spelling, and overal word usage, and c) get a new layout. This one is horrible.

“negative publicity about Paris, you put off as false.” That’s because most of them are invented. If I saw evidence that this negative article is true, I would have reported, but I don’t mindlessly agree with every negative article like most people do.

1) You don’t know if they lost money over this project

2) No I didn’t know.

3) I totally don’t agree with you. Many fans and I agree that it was the best album of 2006.

4) Wrong, Paris has been working on “Paris” for about a year.

5) I think it would be a horrible move by Warner and Paris. We want Paris to succeed.

a) This is an opinion oriented like any other blog, you don’t have to agree on everything.

b) I’m aware of that, but I’d prefer you talk about the content of this website, instead of always talking negatively.

c) In my opinion, the layout is perfectly fine, and not horrible as you claim.

Warner Bros. DID lose money off of the project. Let me explain:

There are 100 points on an album. A new artist like Paris would have about 5 points. Each point is worth 8 cents. 5 x 8=40 cents. That means everytime an album is sold, Paris earns 40 cents. 40 cents x 600,000= 240, 000 dollars. So Paris earned (more or less), $240,000 dollars from the album. It costs way more than that to record and produce the album, not to mention promotional fees and video production fees. So yes, Warner lost money on this project and everything that Paris made had to be paid back for various fees to Warner. (She didn’t even make enough to pay the full amount back).

Remember TLC? They sold 10,000,000 copies of “CrazySexyCool”. They had 7 points on their album. So everytime they sold an album, they gained 56 cents. .56 x 10,000,000 = 5.6 million. TLC made 5.6 million off the album. They then had to pay 3,000,000 back to the label for recording costs and video production costs, which left them with 2.6 million. That 2.6 million put them in the 48-50% tax bracket, which immediately deducted the 2.6 million down to 1.3 million dollars. Split that three ways, and the girls were left with about 300,000 dollars a piece. They ended up having to file for bankruptcy. If Paris wasn’t a Hilton, wasn’t already rich, and didn’t have other career ventures to fall back on, she would be filing for bankruptcy due to the low sales.

Maybe, but since I don’t have the real numbers (and 600 000 is not an official number), I can’t say your 100% right.

At this point, I think only Warner Bros knows if they really lost money, and I think it’s possible.

But still, I and many fans do think that Paris should do whatever she can to become a true artist since she considers music as her first priority.

And I don’t personally think that Warner and Paris are going to quit too easily, so I still have hope like many other fans. I will also present a petition next week, just to make some awareness.

I would gladly sign the petition. However when it comes down to it, record labels care more about the money than the artist. And there’s no way Paris made more than 300,000 off the album.

When has music ever been Paris’s first priority?

it looked to me that she got bored after 2 singles? There were many songs that could have been released after “screwed” or “jealousy” but she couldnt be bothered to put in the hours. It is the same with Lohan, they release great pop records but then dont back it up with the work and dedication it needs to promote them. It takes a good 6 months to a year to promote an album and Paris gave up after about 2.

She will get dropped maybe not now but she will in the future mainly because there is not enough money to be made off the back of her music.

She thought she wanted to be a popster and realised it was hard work so she made friends with Nicole Richie so they could piss about in front of a camera and make easy money.

and p.s

This should make the profits of the album even smaller.

I know what you mean, and I totally agree with you, but yes, Paris, publicist and her aunt said that music is suppose to be her #1 priority. She definitely needs to work harder. And I hope she will

PS: It’s not a confirmed report. You can’t believe everything just because some professional writer wrote it. I usually check the source and see how creditable it is.
