The Hottie and the Nottie is an upcoming romantic comedy film starring Paris Hilton and Christine Lakin. The film started shooting in January 2007.
The film is being directed by Tom Putnam. The plot centres around a girl (Hilton) who refuses to marry her longtime boyfriend until he can find the
perfect match for her ugly best friend (Lakin). The film is currently in post-production.
So what do you guys think? will it be good? Personally I think Paris should not have accepted this role, simply because it's so her, like playing the
pretty girl and just her role that's not suprising at all

I'm not sure about the role, but I think it's an interesting movie. Hopefully, it was taken seriously, not like Pledge This and Bottom's Up. Those
were horrible low-budget movies. I know Paris did take "The Hottie and the Nottie" very seriously.
I really wonder if it's going to be released to the theatres.

I'm pretty sure it is going to be released into theaters. It was a pretty high budget film of 9 million dollars. I think it's a good role, she most likely played the part well.

Well we know that Paris made a favourable impression on her co-star Christine Lakin, and seemed serious about the project. I know it might seem like the typical Paris thing and the title isn't going to get taken seriously (and probably isn't meant to) but I'm looking forward to this and hope it will be more along the quality of House Of Wax than the lower quality movies. I look forward to seeing more of Paris as movie star and rock/pop star.

Yes I look forward to seeing her too but I just think that if she really really wants to be taken serious as an actress she should stay away from these projects that will make people say that's so typical for paris, like you said I look forward seeing more of her too!

Any idea when this movie is coming out? It says 2008, but like early or late? I mean it can't take a YEAR to edit this movie right?

I hope that if this is released to theaters, that it does well.
Honestly, I have not seen a single Paris Hilton movie. I would like to, but haven't. I do see Bottom's Up on the rack at Blockbuster often
though.

You should watch House of Wax instead. It is truly a good movie.

Ehh, don't even bother watching Paris' old movie expect House Of Wax. That was the only good one. I'm pretty sure The Hottie and the Nottie is
going to be really good. The general story and stuff sounds really good.
2008. I'm thinking January?

The following is from Wikipedia. I have not been able to confirm its veracity. If it is true, obviously it does not bode well.
- In July of 2007, director Tom Putnam was unceremoniously dropped by his agency, Endevour, for his disastrous performance on "The Hottie and the
Nottie".
Locked out of editing, Tom continually harassed the producers, agents and bond company to the point of self-destruction. He is no longer considered
bondable, and as in the famous phrase,
"Will never work in this town again".

I'd be hopeful that the film will come out, for the fact that it's been relatively publicised at least and reported for Paris working on it. Hopefully this will just be a temporary setback at least (although I won't hold out for a director's commentary on the DVD, lol!) Wonder what Paris and her co-star think about this or how they got on with the director? Not that I expect any interviewer or reporter to ask such a question

I think they will replace the director's name with Alan Smithee.

"Pledge This" was also planned to be released in theaters - but after some trouble it went (after a limited release) straight to DVD.
