Oxygen rep: We didn’t screw up the airing time of “The World According to Paris”

According to Popeater, a spokesperson for Oxygen has denied that the TV network messed up the airing time of the premiere episode of “The World According to Paris” on June 1. “The show premiered at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1 as was promoted. There were no technical mistakes. We look forward to a very exciting run of the series,” the spokesperson said.

An unknown “insider” told Popeater that Paris Hilton is blaming the “disastrous ratings” of the premiere episode on the network. The insider does not directly quote Paris, but says: “Paris is furious that the show didn’t premiere at the time it was supposed to. She worked her tail off doing promotion and publicity for the show and then because of a technical mistake, the show aired at a completely different time in a lot of markets.”

Also, it is not clear how many households were affected by the technical mistake.

There has been a lot of rumours lately, so be careful not to believe everything you read in the media.

Popeater now has Rob Shuter working for them.

He once was the publicist for Paris and Jessica Simpson, he was also let go by both of them.

I noticed he makes snarky remarks about Paris.

I just don¨t get why EVERYONE talks about the ratings for this show. Braxton Family Values has around 500.000 viewers and that show is A BIG HIT on that channel?! I just love Paris and I really hope that more people will watch her show so we can get a season 2.

Nicki, you make a good point. Although Braxton Family Values doesn’t air on Oxygen, but on a similar channel that is available in 75m households (same as Oxygen).

The only people who are making a deal big are the haters in the media. That’s their nature. Every time Paris launches a project, they attack her and try to bring her down. It’s sick. My advice to them is to leave her alone.

Another thing is that it’s really strange how Aubrey O’Day’s premiere episode got 724000 viewers and Paris got 409000 viewers. There’s something not right. But we have to wait a couple of more weeks, before we made a judgment.
