Paris Hilton and Parlux sue Perfection Perfume
Reported by KFI AM640
Paris Hilton is suing a Los Angeles fragrance manufacturer, alleging Perfection Perfume has illegally appropriated trademarked design and packaging elements belonging to the heiress in order to market its beauty products.
Perfection Perfume is selling fragrances “packaged and labeled in a style and manner” confusingly similar to Hilton’s own line, according to the complaint for trademark infringement.
There was no immediate response to a message left at Perfection Perfume’s offices, requesting comment on the suit filed late Monday in Los Angeles federal court.
Hilton’s perfumes and beauty products are sold in Macy’s, Walmart and Kohl’s, among other stores.
The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages.
