Paris Hilton burglar to stand trial
Reported by NBC Los Angeles
A 32-year-old man suspected of trying to break into Paris Hilton’s Los Angeles home over the summer was ordered Tuesday to stand trial.
After testimony from two police witnesses, Van Nuys Superior Court Judge Leland Harris found sufficient evidence to allow the case against Nathan Lee Parada of Redlands to proceed to trial on one felony count of attempted residential burglary.
Parada was arrested about 6:30 a.m. Aug. 24 by officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Van Nuys Division, after Hilton called police to report that someone was outside her home.
The 29-year-old heiress posted a message about the attempted break-in on her Twitter page.
Parada is due back in Van Nuys Superior Court on Dec. 28 for arraignment.
