Paris Hilton gives away $2000 to Indians living in poverty
Reported by TMZ / Edited by PHS
Paris Hilton made a begger’s life in Mumbai a few hours ago, stopping her SUV to hand a $100 bill to a poor woman who was carrying a baby, and then dropping more than $2,000 in cash on other poor people in the area.
According to local Indian reports, the woman immediately began asking photogs if anyone could break it into smaller bills.
Sources close to Paris tell TMZ, after the $100 incident, Paris was so emotional about the poverty situation in India, she decided to give away all of the cash she was carrying on her at the time to other poor people in the area (more than $2,000 in total).
Paris, who’s in India to launch some new Paris Hilton stores, later tweeted about the incident saying: “India is beautiful, but some parts are very poverty stricken. Broke my heart to see babies sleeping on the streets.”

She does that all the time and has been doing it for years.
I remember pictures from years ago.
She asked on twitter about non-profit charities in India, so I guess she also made a donation.
Very sweet of her.

Aw this was very sweet off her! I hope magazines print something good about her trip to India but then they only ever want to write about negative things!:/ Love you Paris-keep up the good work xx

I agree with Matty on this issue. For instance I don’t have to visit this site or Paris’ official site every day to know that Paris was making a trip to India. It was on the entertainment news headlines at Yahoo Mail for instance. I didn’t have to be actively looking for Paris news to see it. Tales like this of Paris’ sweet nature and generosity on the other hand, I only see when I pay a visit here or if I were to actively search for all the latest Paris news. I wish stories like this would get as widely reported so that people who aren’t actively looking for them or following every piece of Paris news would still stand a good chance of getting exposed to Paris’ good deeds anyway, just from it appearing on entertainment roundup headlines.
