Not surprising at all that she broke up with him

paris is always gracious and classy, but this is a bit disturbing for a few reasons.
1. she gives benji credit for changes she’s made in her life this past year. while gracious, it sends a self-depricating message. paris should take credit for her own life and success. it’s fine to be gracious, but…. i only hope she doesn’t really believe this.
2. paris is far mote successful than benji, so who is he to be telling her how to manage her affairs?
3. some of her words raise an eyebrow – or two. the quotes about benji not being over-protective or controling, just “protective as any guy in love would be” & “he just wants me to make good decisions” and that she changed her friends because of him. excuse me? listen to a woman in an abusive relationship or go to any womens’ abuse shelter and you hear exactly these words! i’m not saying he physically abused her, but this sounds like he really was too controlling.
no guy should every control like this in the name of “love.” second-guessing/judging a woman’s decisions, being the gatekeeper for who her friends are, taking credit for her successes in life.
wow that is all shocking. given the trauma paris went through before beginning to date him , her romantic nature and pre-ocupation with finding love, this all adds up to bad news, so it is really great they split!
i wouldn’t be surprised to find out that kathy stepped in.

Juju, I agree that Paris doesn’t need help making good decisions and shouldn’t be changing to suit anyone. I agree with Paris though that any man in love would feel protective. That doesn’t justify his actions if he was indeed too controlling and trying to restrict her too much, but Paris isn’t saying that’s the case.
Paris got rid of a lot of friends after her jail time, as she felt they weren’t good for her. She’s had her share of false friends and I don’t think she necessarily meant that she got rid of anyone because her boyfriend didn’t like them. I think she just meant that it was those people cut from her life that are pretending to be the experts on the relationship.
Anyway, I never want to argue, so that’s all I want to say on that score. If this guy was a over controlling jerk that couldn’t accept Paris for who she is, then Paris of course made the right decision. But if not, then I just hope Paris makes the decisions that are right for her in finding longterm happiness.

I love Benji and I don’t think he is over-controlling. But I imagine he wanted to make plans to settle down and raise kids real soon.
With the success of her new BFF show Paris got many more business opportunities, so she wants to take them.
It’s her personal life anyway, boyfriends are replaceable.
