Paris Hilton interviewed by The Guardian UK
Reported by The Guardian
What has been the high point of the decade?
The way people have really come together and started all of these amazing charities for people who are suffering. This decade has been a lot about giving back.
And the low point?
The economic crisis that has affected so many people, causing them to lose their jobs and homes. September 11 was also such a huge tragedy that I will always remember.
Who was the greatest hero of the decade?
Bono, for all his accomplishments for the world. Not only is he an amazing singer and artist, but he dedicates his life to helping the less fortunate and to saving lives. He is such an inspiration to me as a philanthropist.
Who was the biggest villain?
Osama bin Laden. He is an evil person who has destroyed the lives of so many people.
What has been your proudest moment of the past 10 years?
I’ve had many proud moments. I recently visited some of the small impoverished villages of Guatemala and spent time with the local people. To see the smiles on the children’s faces made me feel very proud.
Which invention has changed your life the most?
My BlackBerry. It makes life so much easier being able to get my work done no matter where I am.
Which work of art/book/piece of music made the biggest impression on you?
Kylie Minogue’s music has always made a big impression on me. My new album is inspired by her.
What or who has been the greatest loss?
The loss of Michael Jackson. I’ve known him since I was born. He was one of the sweetest, kindest, most talented and generous men I’ve ever known.
Sum up the decade in three words.
Hot, sexy and huge.

Speaking of her album, she supposedly said the new single would be out by Christmas, didn’t she? Well, if that’s the case then we should be hearing of it anytime soon, right? Cannot wait!
