Paris Hilton memorized monologue to film the parody clip
The AP reported that Paris Hilton memorized her entire monologue for the filming of the parody clip. This was revealed by Funny or Die’s content director because people were assuming that she was using cue cards.
But then, a few articles started reporting the comments of an unknown source who refuted Funny or Die’s claims. The source is supposed to be a close friend of Paris, or something like that. The sites that posted this article were unreliable news sites (or foolish writers), quoting possibly a non-existent source. Anyway, when you think about it, it’s not even important.
Meanwhile, Paris’ energy plan seems to appeal a congressman, Michael Burgess. He’s referring it as the “Paris Hilton Plan“.

A friend would not undermine Paris or her director.
So you know the articles claiming inside knowledge are bogus, as usual.

i agree, not important. it’s still funny. besides politicians use telepromoters all the time. cue cards are so yesterday.
her parents may have been involved just to protect her and to make sure nothing went too far since they are mccain supporters as there is a fine line when venturing into politics with humor like this.
ap had a good article in my local newspaper today describing the effective use of humor and pop culture in political campaigns. the analyst said paris hit all the right marks, subtle ribs, self-deprecating, smart and not mean. just like she did in simple life actually.
conversely they said mccain’s ad wasn’t good because as we all said here it crossed the line on the “mean” aspect.
