Paris Hilton on Stickam

Paris Hilton talks to Stickam from the BFF premiere party. She also talks a bit about her upcoming album. The new CD is actually produced by someone who works for Good Charlotte. I didn’t quite catch that, so maybe you guys can help and let me know the name of the producer. Also, she says that it’s a more personal album and that she wrote all of the songs.

this was good paris looks great but i dont like how she talked about a lot of the contestants. like it seems like she doesnt really care about them. and she def has something against michelle in the episode and here.

So did she only use one producer for the whole album? I don’t really mind because My BFF had a great up-beat soild dance beat.

I think Paris spoke with affection about the contestants in this clip and was her usual genuine and charming self.

However, on the show itself she seems to be channelling Victoria English from Pledge This a lot of the time, with only occassional flashes of the real and sweet Paris. I can see how someone who didn’t know much about Paris could get the wrong idea about her from this show. I’d feel like saying “I want to be your friend Paris, not your slave or robot”. I’ll still be interested to see how the show progresses and it’s good that Paris made up her own mind about how to kick out at the end of the episode (rather than just go with the flow of what the other contestants thought). I hope that more of the real Paris that I know and love comes through more as the show goes on though and I think she should try and see things like the makeover (that after all could be seen as a artificial change or a criticism of someone’s personal style) from other people’s point of view and not just assume that everyone thinks like her. I’m a fan of Paris of course, and I’m only saying this because I care about her and would love to have more people see the person that I’ve come to love and admire so much, rather than the bitch or snob persona that MTV seems to want to exploit.

I agree with just about everything Django wrote. Except, I don’t think MTV is exploiting Paris. I think she’s doing exactly what she wants. She picked the show, she’s the star, a producer, etc. On Ellen she said something like “you have to be mean to them. ” I think she thinks that makes for “good tv.”

It all seems so superficial only to be broken up by moments of actual worship of her. It seems like the show is made to make her seem like the Virgin Mary, Princess Di, Madonna, Mother Teresa and a Greek Goddess all rolled into one.

I didn’t have high hopes for the show but watched it anyway. I could only make it through about 5-10 minutes of the first one b/f I turned it off. Then, I watched a rerun of it and made it all the way through it. (tolerable) This time I had to turn it off after the speeches. Is she picking a friend or a cult member? I thought the concept was lame and superficial, but what they’re doing is extremely lame. The contestants/worshippers are also really lame. I thought the speeches made them look like wannabe mindless cult members. yuck.

The show isn’t making my like her any less, but I think I’ll skip the rest of it and wait for Repo. (it’s not making me like her more either.) Does anyone know what the ratings are for the show? is it doing well? (I don’t like the show, but she deserves/needs a successful show.)

Nice to know that other fans with good wishes for her agree, tamara. I don’t like criticising her because I like so much about her and her past work but I have to be honest and when I really praise something about her at least people will know I mean it.

If BFF was my first real exposure to Paris, I wouldn’t be a hater but it would probably stop me from wanting to find out anymore. For me, the sweetness and good natured fun of The Simple Life was what originally won me over, so that’s my good TV.
