Paris Hilton quote included in the new Oxford Dictionary of Quotations

A quote by Paris Hilton has been included in the 2009 Oxford Dictionary of Quotations: “‘Dress cute wherever you go, life is too short to blend in.”

20,000 new quotations were added to the latest edition.

The book has a list of quotes by famous people such as former US president Thomas Jefferson (“Banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies”) and scientist Stephen Hawking (“I think computer viruses should count as life. Maybe it says something about human nature, that the only form of life we have created so far is purely destructive”).

The seventh edition of Oxford Dictionary of Quotations was released today.

I must say that I generally don’t like US presidents, but I think Thomas Jefferson really understood how a country and government should be run. He was a great philosopher! And if he were alive today, I think he’d be shocked to see what the US and its government has become in our time! lol

I wish they had added a different Paris Hilton quote. I’m sure there are better ones!

I think they could have put a better one too. like “No matter what a woman looks like, if shes confident, shes sexy”

although Paris has said better things I think the meaning behind the quote is really quite strong hence why it was chosen over other ones. Its still got that Paris charm to it but its more mature then others she has said. I think its a subtle quote but still a powerful one if you go into it.
