Paris Hilton sue Antebi Footwear over unpaid royalties
Reported by NY Daily News
Paris Hilton says a New York-based footwear company owes her more than $1 million in unpaid royalties for her signature shoe line, which features strappy stilettos and slinky slingbacks.
The hotel heiress and reality television heel spiked Antebi Footwear Group, LLC with a breach of contract lawsuit Tuesday in Manhattan Federal Court, claiming the company has failed to toe the line in its 2007 and 2009 license agreements with Paris Hilton Entertainment Inc. by not kicking over 8% of its net sales in royalties.
“This lawsuit emanates from Antebi’s unlawful attempt to reap millions of dollars in profits from exploiting the lucrative brand of international celebrity Paris Hilton without paying the compensation it agreed to pay,” the lawsuit says.
Hilton wants more than $1 million and a court order terminating the license agreements, which aren’t set to expire until the end of this year.
Antebi didn’t immediately return a request for comment Tuesday.

She can always licence with someone else. No sense doing business with a company that renegs on payments.
