Paris Hilton to perform at Pointe-Calumet Beachclub near Montreal
Reported by Montreal Gazette
Paris Hilton will grace the Pointe-Calumet Beachclub with her presence on June 25.
The Beachclub announced Friday that Hilton will be the latest star to hold a party at the beach and pool just north of Laval, and east of Oka.
The club will kick off the summer with Hilton, who will not only take part in the party, but also animate it, as a disc jockey.
“In addition to being one of the highest profile people in the world in the 2000s, Paris Hilton has participated in numerous reality shows and feature films, while also getting involved in the music industry,” the Beachclub wrote in a statement. “She has also modelled for several major international advertising campaigns. Paris Hilton performs at the most popular clubs in the world as a DJ, and has millions of followers on social networks.”
The club said the party will begin at 3 p.m. with a “grandiose arrival” and several other surprises.
Last August, the Beachclub vaulted into the international spotlight when Kylie Jenner held her 18th birthday there. It featured a cake made by a baker based in Hudson, which she proceeded to throw into the crowd of roughly 8,000 who paid between $60 and $150 to attend the event.
But Kylie would have probably never have been brought to the public’s attention had it not been for Hilton, who introduced the world to Kylie’s older half-sister, Kim Kardashian exactly a decade ago. A reality show was launched in 2007. Now, Keeping Up With the Kardashians is one of the longest-running reality shows, in its eleventh season.
Last year’s star-packed summer wasn’t without its wrinkles, however. A man drowned in an artificial lake that was supposed to be off-limits to party-goers. Singer Justin Bieber also cancelled his scheduled appearance at the club, blaming a breach of contract by the event’s promoter.
Tickets to the June 25 event can be purchased starting Saturday at noon at a cost of between $30 and $80 on the club’s website.
