The TV celebrity’s camp confirmed that she had split from The Hills star Doug Reinhardt early this week, sparking rumours that she will cancel her visit to Dubai, website www.ahlanlive.com reported.

“In response to the enquiry on whether Paris Hilton has split up with Doug Reinhardt, yes, this is true they are no longer together,” the heiress’s spokesman was quoted as saying on the website.

But they remain close friends, the spokesman added. The news comes just days after Hilton appeared on U.S. latenight show Jimmy Kimmel Live! and announced that her boyfriend was “hotter” than Brad Pitt.

Hilton was due to fly to the Dubai next week, to start filming “Paris Hilton My New BFF – Dubai”. The show is to be modelled on her raunchy MTV series in which Hilton tests women to see if they could be her best friend forever (BFF).

But the trip has been thrown into doubt amid fears the broken-hearted star will not be emotionally strong enough to go in front of the camera after the split from the six-month love affair.

The star has had a string of high profile short-lived relationships with celebrity men.

Complete bull! Paris tends to throw herself out there more after a breakup! She’ll party harder & do more projects, she’d never cancel a show cuz of “broken heart.” not her style at all!

yeah, don’t believe it.

although if doug was really mackin it up with one of his ex’es, paris might have him snuffed and mounted before he ever gets to dubai as a “producer” for the show.

i’m still curious as to why paris has so many producers for shows that she is involved with, especially so many executive producers. they seem to multiply, even her dad, rick, is listed as one for BFF.

Talking to an ex in a friendly, loving manner is not grounds for a break-up.
Paris should understand this before anyone.

I love Paris but I have to say that I respect Doug for standing up for himself. His terse statement was quite telling.
Doug no doubt bent a lot for Pais out of love but he won’t allow himself to be pushed around by her or her family.

imo Doug was worth holding onto. In fact, he is probably exactly what she needs.
Plus they come from similar backgrounds and seem to have similar personalities.

Disagreements happen in ALL relationships but people work things out.
No one quits and walks away if they truly love each other.

Maybe they can patch things up – Pink and Carey Hart did, so did Sam and Lindsay lol.

Really I feel sad for them. They looked adorable together. I enjoyed seeing them together. I thought it would be it for both. I think she did love him. Hopefully they will talk and patch things out.

yeah, it appeared that doug had potential, but again too much too soon only led to drama.

& who knows what really happened. the reports were that he was sucking face big time with an ex, not just talking. if true, yeah that warranted a a heave-ho.

what ever. i just hope paris finds a really great guy, which i’m sure she will if she chills out about it. all in due time. meanwhile, she just needs to calm down and not be so anxious about finding “the one.” i think that is the source of a lot of the immaturity she displays wrt guys and part of what leads her to be so quick to go public and rush into pushing a relationship into something it’s not.

as long as she’s such a “hungry tiger” i think she’ll just scare off quality guys. nobody likes that kind of psycho drama. relationships are supposed to make your life nicer and calmer, not crazier and stressful. yuck to that.

I think part of her always being with someone ( some guy ) because that is what people are interested in celebrities in Hollywood. People always want to know whom celebrities hook up with. In order to promote the business Paris knows the trick and she is in it for the game. Sometimes it is merely for a publicity but sometimes it is the true feelings involved. Anyone who wants to be part of her life will have to deal with that ” publicity”. Her life has been on constant traveling, business dealings, shows, films, clubs and with Doug she probably thought she found a companion that truly enjoyed sharing time together on business trips with her. That is why she went in public with him extensively. And they agreed to do that together. If they had known how to kept their relationship a little more private, probably they would last longer. But I think Doug enjoyed being in public with her too. He did like the attention.
If it was true Doug was cheating on her with an ex, he deserved to be kicked in the curb. He may look mature for his age but I don’t think he is ready to settle down. If Paris wants to settle down she may have to find someone a little older than her to calm her down and she needs to think less about just being in the tabloids or just being in the show business. She can just take time to relax, being away from the spotlight, the Hollywood business to focus on having a fulfilled life of being a woman, becoming a wife, mother.
No matter who you are we all get older. I hope she will turn her life around to be less in publicity chaos. She deserves a good man for her and he will come when things are less chaotic for her and only when she realizes it.

It does not seem that Paris NEEDS a guy, she sure kicks them to the curb pretty fast when they don’t live up to expectations.
It’s quite funny, actually. Paris is has spunk.

Doug and Paris were a cute couple but it’s better to find out BEFORE marriage if it’s not going to work.
We don’t have all the info, and it’s up to Paris to decide who to marry.

With so many fun projects on her horizon, why would she want to burden her life with someone who isn’t up to par.
Being single and dating is so much more fun.

Contrary to what some tabloids say, that does not make Paris a ho – it just makes her a very smart girl.
She has lots of time before settling down.
