Promoting The Hottie And The Nottie

While Paris Hilton headed to Lax Vegas to party again at LAX yesterday, the Boston Herald reported Paris Hilton will be in Boston to promote “Hottie and the Nottie” with her co-stars on Feburary 5th and 6th.

Paris Hilton will be “headed to the Hub” and “feted by the Harvard Lampoon,” according to Boston Herald. Well, the movie hits theaters on February the 8th, but I’m very pessimistic about the success of this movie.

I hope Boston won’t the only place where they’re going to promote it a few days before its release. Unfortunately, I think it will be. I really think the lack of promotion is greatly going to contribute to its failure, even if it’s a good movie. Most probably, it’s going to be a mild success.

Have you seen a commercial about the film in theaters or on TV? Let me know, maybe I’m wrong.

If Paris is going to Vegas again you can bet it’s not just to “party”. Vegas for Paris is always business related.
In fact, the rumors in Vegas over New Years were that Paris is moving there.

Nice to know Paris will be promoting her new movie on my birthday 😀 I predict only mild box office success at best at first (especially the way people love to bash Paris – Pledge This might not be the greatest comedy of all time but there are surely far more deserving films that should be in the IMDB bottom 100, also House Of Wax deserved more success than it got). However, much of the real movie profits are surely in DVD sales and I think this is where the movie is more likely to find it’s audience (I’m glad it’s getting a theatrical release though).

Why condemn the movie before we have even seen it. Maybe it’s cute and will be a worldwide success.
We won’t know until the DVD sales figures are in by next year.

I also think there is more of a worldwide audience for a PG rated comedy/love story than there is for a horror opera.
REPO may be the more interesting piece but Hottie probably has more general appeal.
