Screw Obama & McCain! / Vote for Paris Hilton!

Paris Hilton attacked presidential candidate John McCain in a new video in response to his ad campaign, which included a picture of the singer and actress.

This is a hilarious MUST-SEE video! The video was featured on and filmed by Funny or Die.

So on November 4, 2008, do not vote for any of those clowns! Vote for PARIS HILTON!

you know, i think this is a total crack up, but i hope it doesn’t just encourage more people from both campaigns and the right wing cable channels, ie msnbc or faux news, to attack her.

perhaps, she should have just left well enough alone. mccain has already been sharply criticised for the ad and it had fallen out of the news cycle. this just revives the issue. you know what they say, sometimes it’s best to just let sleeping dogs lie.

that said, while it’s certainly funny, strategically for her, it may have been a mistake.

I think this is a brilliant move, a fantastic one in fact. Not only does it show Paris has a fantastic sense of humor, she can also laugh at the general image of herself. I think this will earn her a lot of respect, but not only that.. she also says a great idea. Combining the two ideas together, yes she may not have come up with it but shes still spreding the word.

This is a fantastic move that is only going to recieve positive feedback. It is funny and so light-hearted.

Kudos to Paris, she’s fucking fantastic. Yet anothe reason why I adore her.

omfg! i loved it so much! she is just amazing. so good to see her standing up for herself but not in just a lame way. this is just really good all around. and it is totally a good move for her. it can only gain her respect, not hatred, cuz people that will hate for this have already hated her in the first place and the people that start to respect her might have hated her before. And i looked at comments on tmz and perez and mostly every1 liked it which was nice surprise.

Jay Leno showed it last night to great applause saying “Paris makes sense”.

Not correcting crazy rumors in the past was never a good policy because people started to believe the false image of Paris they created.

These days, you have to respond quickly and effectively.

This video is gaining A LOT of attention. It has already greatly boosted the website’s traffic since yesterday afternoon.

I don’t think this was a bad move, either. I’ve also checked some of the comments on Perez/TMZ, almost 90% were positive. It’s amazing! I think we may finally start seeing a change in the public’s opinion. People don’t really understand how she has changed, but that doesn’t matter anymore. With Repo!, album and TV show, people may start seeing and respecting the real Paris Hilton.

people who are rational and fair minded get it and think it’s funny, which of course it is. but paris has never had an image problem with rational people. it’s the hyper-judgemental right wingers that hate her, and they control the U.S.media. and they are staunch mccain supporters who may attack paris again for this. just like they did when she did the pop culture show with the fake guru guy. they spun it and attacked for for “making fun of religion.” now how much traction they’ll get with this tactic depends on how much they can sell it….

anyway, when you make a move like this you have to consider all angles, and with repo and BFF coming out soon, it may not be the best time to risk another onslot of negative press in the mainstream, right-wing controlled U.S. media.

How can it cause a negative reaction? I thought this was funny as, Paris who really dislike Paris thought this was funny.. Yes this video is mocking BUT the energy bit she mentions is extremly true so it may be mocking and cutesy/teasy it is getting a message out there to the mass media that you dont have to stick with one idea, combined them.

This is not only a great move for herself, but for upcmoing projects. It has given Paris a large boost of extremly POSITIVE attention, which makes people who havnt heard about Paris think.. “Hmm.. I wonder what Paris is up to” and then they stumble across Repo! The Genetic Opera, plans for her to release a second album and a new tv show.

The difference between this and the Guru thing, is one its not dealing with the sensitive topic of religion and its not just a silly joke for a crappy, short lived tv show. It is for a website, it is funny and she is macking a bit of fun about mccain but everything she says is true, and i say this again, she is getting the message out about an extremly important issue and she has stated a way to solve it.

A funny, cool and very intelligent reaction from Paris. And i would definitely for her 😀 (if i was american)

I´m happy she gets all that positive attention now, that will change the opinion of some people about her.
