Sheriff: Hilton Jail Investigation Is A Waste Of Time And Money

Los Angeles County Sheriff LEE BACA has fired back at calls for an investigation into the alleged special treatment of PARIS HILTON – because it’s a waste of money. The chief cop hit the headlines last month (Jun07) when he allowed the socialite to walk free from jail, just days into her sentence, because he feared for her mental health. Baca’s decision was overruled by court authorities, who insisted Hilton had to return to prison to complete her jailterm. And now the sheriff is in the news again after officials at the Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs insisted allegations that Hilton was afforded special treatment during her jail spell at the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood were investigated. Baca reveals he is obliged to co-operate, but he’s convinced such an investigation is a huge waste of time and money. He says, “It’s wasting tax payers’ dollars on something really trivial.”

And the sheriff insists he can clear up one allegation immediately – he confirms Hilton was given a brand new prison uniform, while her fellow inmates had to wear second-hand attire. He explains, “I was told that Miss Hilton is a size three and we don’t have size threes in the jail, so there had to be some accommodation for her, otherwise she wouldn’t be able to wear what we have.”

The mass media including the Associated Press HAS NOT reported Baca’s comments. I got this from ContactMusic.com, which is not a reliable source, but I don’t understand why ContactMusic.com would make up an article which defends Paris, so I’m assuming that the media has ignored Baca.

I’ve reached to a conclusion that this investigation is based on lies. Maybe not lies, but misunderstandings since she was segregated. It’s probably brought by high profil Paris Hilton haters and egalitarians who just want to look for problems where there are none.

I agree! I don’t see anything wrong with what he did for her.

New uniform – sounds good considering you don’t have very many size 3’s in prison now!

Cordless phone – Uh yeah… I’m glad that she wasn’t put into the general population so that someone can make a name for themselves by causing her harm. It’s just another safety measure.

House arrest – So many people blew up at that but it wasn’t her fault. He was concerned about her health (who wouldn’t be, the whole thing was a fiasco to make an example out of her) and sent her home and then they try to punish HER for it? Not right.

I hope he comes out ahead on this.
