Slow news until mid-December

This is just to inform you that PHS news will be posted slower than usual until mid-December.

I’m out of town in Washington DC doing an internship for the fall semester! So I’ll be busy until mid-December. I probably won’t have time to koep up to date with everything, but I’ll try.

Things haven’t been too busy so it should be fine for now.

I’m quite happy that Paris has pulled back from the gossip sheets.
As a successful business woman with a wealthy boyfriend, she does not need that crap anymore.

Concentrating on her colognes and other upscale market items fits much her image much better.
She can afford to be rich and discreet.

If she still wants to do a little music as her side hobby, with the occasional DJing, fine.

But by and large, Paris looks best when she sticks with the high society image.

I don’t want her to stop being a celebrity, she was the person who kind of introduced me to this celebrity world, it was her heyday back then (i think it was 2007) – she can be a successful businesswoman but also a high profile celebrity. I wonder if she realizes how relevant she is right now…. i still love her though

considering a large portion of Paris’ brand is “celebrity” so yes, it is a good idea that she stays relevent in the world of pop culture.

she can focus on her brand, I celebrate that she’s so happy working on it and that it’s doing so well. but there’s a large portion of her fan base who don’t buy her products. so there needs to be something to keep them interested. Paris’ music keeps majority of fans satisfied and also brings in positive interest of non-fans, and that interest introduces them to other things she works on. Paris releasing music is a huge promotional tool for herself and her brand.

Jen: There is a difference between “music as a hobby” (which would basically be just singing karaoke) and hiring people to write songs for her, recording them, having them produced and mastered, Tweeting about them, and telling interviewers on the red carpet that she’s working on an album. THAT is a business venture. And why you care so much more about her handbag line than her music is beyond me, but please shut up that classist mouth of yours.

Hmmm… I dont think that is a summer romance for Paris.
Of course we’ll have to wait and see.

But if it’s serious, Paris will have to take her man’s wishes under consideration.
A lot of the really rich families do not like publicity. At that point, Paris will have to balance things very carefully.

I would not be surprised if Paris stays out of the public eye more and more,,coming out only for special events. She has already started doing so.

I could be wrong – but I dont think so.

BTW, both Paris and Nicky are at Fashion Week in N.Y.
Nicky Hilton will be co-hosting for Valentino tomorrow.

My guess is they will go on to Milan thereafter, just like Paris said.

Can you give us a link to where Paris said she was going to Milan because I don’t see any mention of that in her Twitter feed.

Also, Paris has dated people in the past who didn’t like/want publicity (e.g. Cy) and it never stopped her from being in the spotlight as much as she wanted. I don’t see her changing her lifestyle around for a man (or anyone else). If she starts appearing in public less, it’ll be because she wants to make that change, not to appease some guy or his family.

i just want her to release her new single already and her album. For the past 3-4 years all i have been hearing is that her new album is coming out this summer and yet every summer comes and passes and nothing 🙁 so upsetting i love her music. I think she’s became a little more relevant within the show biz (no the media) in the past year, just look at this year: she has came to some special events, the grammys, the MTV awards, the Cannes Film Festival, and now the fashion week. And as for the gossip and tabloid stuff, she’s still fading as hell. Can’t wait to see the pictures of her at the FW and in Milan.

The Hilton sisters looked just FABULOUS at the Four Seasons last night.
It is also a great honor for Nicky to co-host the Valentino event tonight.

Both Paris and Nicky look very happy. They are clearly not flaunting their relationships.
Very nice.

As to a couple of posters – who shall go unnamed LOL – you are obviously not living in the U.S. So I will cut you some slack.

But the reality is that the United States IS a classist country. The difference between the haves and the have-nots is tremendous.
