Taura Jackson: “Paris’ new album is FIRE”

I’m happy to report that Paris Hilton’s vocal coach and producer, Taura Jackson, who worked on Paris’ first and second albums, posted a little message about the upcoming new album on PHS… although she posted her comments on a 2007 article that I had written regarding the song “What You Do To Me.”

Kevin, when people say somethings fire they mean its awesome, not genre specific. This is my prediction which I have said a thousand times, the album will be filled with sugar synths and a really dancey pop album. Go listen to Untouchable by Girls Aloud, whenever I hear that song I just instantly think thats the direction Paris is going in. But we’ll get our sexy songs. We’ll get the really sweet love songs. We’ll get a brillian album.

I’ve never heard that track before, I was so excited haha. I know that song was her just playing around but compare that ‘demo’ to the Come Up and Try My New Parts demo and holy geeeez, how far has her voice come?! Seriously. Its amazing (:

Whatever she means by “fire”, it sure sounds something big!

Now, I’m started to get a bit worried about the lack of decent news. Could this be because of BFF 2 or because she’s spending too much time with her new boyfriend?

She doesn’t have anything else to promote at the moment, so things should remain calm for a little while longer.

We need something new, something different from Paris. She needs to “renew” herself and engage herself in something… We also need new info from her.

Ever since Repo!, I feel like something has been lacking, especially at this point. I look forward to the new album. I really hope it’ll be out this summer!

She is keeping very quite.. but when she was filming the first season of My BFF there was still a lot going on. It all seems very quiet.

I agree with you admin about something lacking since Repo!. Maybe because it was such a high peak, we had a rush of an amazing new movie, amazing new music and then we had My BFF and now, all the news has something to with Douche.. I mean Doug. I’m hoping its just the calm before the storm.

When it comes to releasing this album, she NEEDS to do a performance. I know she hates singing infront of people but without doing that, the general public is just going to see it as a gimmick and they aren’t really going to support her. She needs to show people she can sing, she needs to show people how brilliant her music is and that she can put on a bloody good show. I think she should do her performance on either Ellen or David Letterman.

Big artists like Britney Spears and stuff always promote live performances the week of their CD release. It’s always like the day the CD is released they perform on Good Morning America, then throughout the week(s) they go on Letterman, Ellen, etc

I wish Paris would do that….. Plus she’s going to need an AMAZING first single to get the public’s attention with a hot high-budget music video.

Paris promoted her debut album with “appearances” and “events” but no performances!

Exactly, these parties and events are all fantastic as extra promotion but she needs to perform. I dont think she needs a big budget video, she just needs a great one. Making a great one with a bigger budget does help but its not needed. She needs a brilliant single, a whole new song no one has heard. She needs a brilliant video to go with it. She needs to perform live, LIVE! Not lip synching, back up track is fine but we need some live vocals otherwise people will just roll their eyes and be like ‘oh great’. She also needs to make sure she puts on a show, not just her cutesy sorta of awkward dancing she does in those clips we’ve seen of her singing. She needs to be strong, in control and just deliver. Thats not me saying she needs to do a dance routine, she just needs to be strong and not awkward like she does appear sometimes. I have complete faith in her and Paris is smart. She knows all this stuff and she knows this she just needs to take the leap and do it.

Thanks so much for all of the love. I’m not entirely sure about the label because she’s still deciding. But the album itself is CRAZY!
