The Paris Hilton Clothing Collection Is Now Online

They were selling some of Paris Hilton’s clothes on other online stores, but it looks like Dollhouse has finally decided to make all of her clothes available in a special Paris Hilton section on their website!

You can shop Paris Hilton’s clothing collection and find bottoms, dresses, jackets, tee and tanks, tops and blouses.

It launched a few days ago. It was mentioned on the forum, but I always keep on forgetting to report it here!

Other than that, there’s really nothing else to report, except one thing. A music-industry marketing consultant, Jaci Rae, spoke with E! lately and had a few comments about Paris Hilton’s debut album.

Jaci Rae said: “Paris Hilton’s CD totally died in the U.S., but in Japan it sold out like crazy. It was insane. They were nuts over here. Her video was all over the place. The record company isn’t just looking at the U.S. market. They’re looking at everything.” I just thought it’d be interesting to post this. It’s true, though. More copies were sold worldwide than in the US, and also, “Nothing in this World,” was a top single in some parts of Asia, although I can’t say for sure if the debut album “sold out” in Japon or how successful it was. Anyway, it’s interesting when these comments come from a marketing consultant. The article? Don’t bother reading it!

The US is dead for the music market these days. It’s all about world-wide domination. Paris did the right thing touring the world for her debut album instead of only the US.

I thought the article was a bit silly. I think E is about as good as page six. Casablanca seems to hate paris, the others kiss her butt a bit too much, which is ok, but neither gets you closer to the truth.

Paris’ album did ok worldwide, mostly Asia, but didn’t perform up to expectations. Most important, is that the music industry is in a slump because of things like downloading at cheaper (free, stolen) prices and the industry hasn’t (isn’t smart enough) to figure out how to profit. This is a global phenomenon, not an American one. Two, the industry has targeted the world market for years. The largest record companies are hq’d or have parent companies outside the US. I think this is important because the worldwide slump may make Paris’ album tough to release/market, which could mean delay or cancellation.

I know she says she’s going to do it this year, but she seemed to say that every year in the mid 2000’s b/f her debut was released. I clicked on the upcoming projects listed on this site (like about a year ago and just recently) and have heard about them for years, but most have not amounted to a final project. (Marilyn Monroe movie, superhero movie, cartoon, hotels, restaurants, etc.) I think that sometimes she says she’s working on something and means that its a goal and that’s interpreted as an ongoing work.

Anyway, I hope she’s working on an album now, but I doubt it gets released anytime soon (this year) I think one reason that she’s been out of the news lately has less to do with Benji and more to do with the backers of her projects. The reality producers probably don’t want her whole life in the headlines ahead of the project (the E network mentioned something about that when they cancelled Simple Life) and the repo producers probably don’t want any “she’s not an actress, she’s just a drunken socialite” press ahead of the release.

Also, good or bad press, Paris was probably overexposed in the past 12-18 months, with her most famous works being, the Hottie and the Nottie, jail, and the storage locker. We know about her businesses, but I don’t know if most other people do. Considering all that, and the amount of press she’d do for each project, I can’t see her putting out a tv show, a movie and an album this fall/winter, all within a couple of months of each other.

I hope that it comes out sooner, but I think that a 2009 album release date is more likely.

I agree with you Kevin. It’s like I’m a BSB fan and they’re completely unpopular here in the US but outside the US? They still have some popularity left. The US just isn’t where it is anymore.

I think over time Paris will conquer the US market and the world market anyway, but the US is still by far the largest economy in the world and the largest music market in the world. It will be for sometime.

From my knowledge she did alright in Australia,
Her videos recieved a lot of airplay and played heaps on radios.
All comments were quite positive aswel.

I think Paris is smart, she will release a second album for sure. She knows she got a lot more fans from her music. And what has happened over the (almost) 2 years since her debut album was released peop;le have been buying it over the weeks and months and realise, hey this stuff is actually really good. so when her second album is released all these new fans will buy her album the first week making more scuccess. If that makes sense? It did to me at the time haha

Yeah it will Scot, it happens all the time. I think touring is the best way to sell albums though. Every time I go to a concert and see someone preform I’m always like “Whoa! I gotta go buy there albums!”

ash, Paris herself said numerous times that her album is coming out this year. She has a recording studio in her personal home and has been recording since last July. She also had a lot of left over tracks from her debut album. It’s all about timing.

I’m scared for her as well seeing as in Britney, Lindsay, Ciara, Beyonce, Pussycat Dolls, and others have a album coming out this year. At least Mariah and Madonna are out of the way!

Out of the 5 you mentioned I think only 2 maybe 3 are to worry about.
I mean Lindsay + Ciara.. I think their time is up.
Britney, I think she has damaged herself a lot but I can imagine her have a HUGE comeback. Beyonce.. it all depends, I mean her last album wasnt exactly a giant success at first and Pussycat Dolls.. well I think their album will be quite big.
But saying that.. everyone though Madonnas new album was going to be huge.. but it sold barely anything compared to her other albums.

I have a feeling this album for Paris could do so well.
And I so hope she performes live, I sooooo hope she does. And I mean live. Backing track, fine but please let there be some live vocals.

Oh and admin, just a question regarding Repo!.
In Zydrate Anatomy does Paris scream? Becuase in the version on the Repo! music myspace the female voice screams at the end of her first verse (sometimes i wonder why i need you at all), does Paris?
anddd with Amber’s big face falling apart scene, isnt really sad, like did Paris give a good performance?

Even if the album is done soon, there’s no window for her to release it in this year. BFF comes out in Sept? Repo in Nov? Paris’ entertainment projects need a certain amount of “creative” marketing to find an audience. I don’t see how they’re going to cram all three projects in to the last few months of the year. If I’m a producer, I wouldn’t want to be the third Paris hilton project coming out over the course of 2-3 months. Even if BFF and Repo are hits, the Paris market will probably be a bit fatigued, which, to me, would mean the album would be released sometime in 2009.

Ahhhhhh, scot!

I’m trying to remember the Zydrate Anatomy scene. It can’t say for sure, because it could also be Alexa. You know, Paris’ voice in the movie was sort of different than the album. I mean more clear and better. I can’t remember! That song is pretty good, though. I just remember the beginning of that scene.

The face falling apart scene isn’t really sad. Her performance is indeed good, but very short. She does these moves with her head. Then, something happens, and she loses her face. You want me to tell you how? lol But that’s why people in the movie start booing her (not because of her performance!). I can’t wait to see the movie again.

Oh, I remember the scenes, but I don’t know which song she was singing. It can’t be the scene with Rotti (her father) and her. Both of them were singing together in one scene! I liked it! I can’t wait until you guys see it, and me too.
