The Sun UK’s 1000th Attempt To Fool Us

Did you hear the news about Paris Hilton getting “banned” from “Munich’s famed Oktoberfest”? I’m not reporting the news, but analyzing it, lest you be fooled by Hate site thesun.co.uk, which first published it.

The article says Paris Hilton is banned from attending the event this weekend. First of all, Paris has no plans of going to Germany this weekend. She’s visiting Canada. Second, I highly doubt Paris got “banned.”

The Munich tourism chief Gabriele Weishaeupl announced: “are completely prohibited by the new festival rules.” This means that they didn’t directly ban her, but simply changed the rules. But the media and blogs are saying that she got “banned.” They’re using the word “banned” just to give her a bad image, like as if she is doing or did something bad.

The Sun UK says: “Locals were outraged when the socialite, 26, arrived at the beer festival in plaits and traditional Bavarian dress to advertise a brand of canned wine.” I highly doubt it. Paris Hilton was very well received, and the event was a success. I think The Sun is again trying to portray Paris negatively.

But really, it’s such a stupid article, and some hate bloggers are all happy and praising it because she got “banned.” How lame!

Ah lame, next lame article!

These lines by the SUN are misleading.

It appears that the Oktoberfest organizers banned ALL commercial participants from using celebs to advertise at the fest.

As I recall, no one complained about Paris wearing a gold Dirndl at last years Oktoberfest. Why would they – Paris looked very charming in the traditional Bavarian dress.

I hadn’t bothered to read anything about this until today. The Sun not only does a disservice to Paris in re-wording the new rules on celebrity promotions to suit themselves, but also to the festival and it’s locals. A story like this could make Paris fans feel angry or resentful towards this festival if they believed it. It also does a disservice in making up stuff about how the locals thought of Paris. Good as always to see the truth (The Truth – wouldn’t that be a good tabloid for Paris fans hee hee).

The Sun is a horrible lying rag with a long list of crimes against truth and decency under it’s belt. Xenophobic, mysogynistic, you name it. Most people in Britain just laugh at it, and no one with any brains takes it seriously. Sadly also it’s our No. 1 selling paper. Don’t know what that says, but nothing good, that’s for sure…
