Awww, what a cutie-pie Paris is, but that made me curious enough to Google myself. I was surprised at the results. There was a person of my first and last name who was a 6’7″ American Professional Wrestler, and a whole whack of people with my first and last name and LinkedIn. There was a faceless person with my name on Facebook. BTW, I recommend that if any one of you has a Facebook account, you might want to delete it. It’s a bad place to be if you truly value your privacy. *Gently nudges Paris* Go on, Paris, go ahead, don’t be embarrassed, Google yourself, everyone does it, even if they don’t admit it. 😉
She is one of the few women that can make short hair look good on a woman. She could also make wearing a grain sack look hot…. I love her eyes, too. Paris also has to have the most kissable lips on this planet!! ;p
It’s alleged that Marilyn Monroe yearned so strongly for her version of “a normal life” away from celebrity, and that may or may not be true. When you think about publicists, media, and how those with vested interests might want a story told, the first casualty of that piece of journalism might be the truth. It is not so hard to imagine if anyone has ever played that game “telephone”. If you are sitting at a table with a few people, maybe at a restaurant or something… and the first person whispers something in the ear of the person to their left or right, and they whisper it to the next person until it gets all the way back to the original person…. it is seldom EVER the same as the original message when it gets back to the original person.

you call that game telephone?! its called chinese whispers over here haha.
the thing Im worried about with Paris is if she is one of the ‘starts’ of the decade theres a really screwed up trend.
I honest dont think Paris is anything like Marilyn Monroe or Princess Dianna apart from the fact that shes a blonde. She reminds me of a modern day Edie Sedgwick. Their families considered american royalty, became famous purely because of their name and their partying habbits and had quite the rollercoaster life in the public eye. Edie met her demise at 28. Even though Edie had a much more tragic and horrible, painful life to me they both have the same sort of personality and qualities.

I love Paris and I believe that it was very successful and intelligent woman. The truth of its popularity it alone and still can not find a decent man.

I also don’t really see the Marilyn Monroe thing. Paris seems like a fun person who’s been able to make a name, and money, out of parties. She’s a good marketer, but I don’t actually hear anyone comparing her to Diana and very few to Monroe.

I’ve only played “Telephone/Chinese Whispers” a couple times in my life, and I’ve never played “Seven Minutes In Heaven” that Paris talked about. I’m not sure who was responsible for leaking into the media the claim that Paris Hilton compares herself to Marilyn Monroe as a modern-day icon. I suppose it could have been her camp, or another source entirely, but regardless of the source of the leak of this claim, one of Paris’s book touches on the subject.
It was in “Paris Hilton: Life On The Edge” that said Paris said that she does not claim to be an icon, but only that she really admires Marilyn for the icon she was. Quite honestly, I don’t believe Paris has to compare herself to Marilyn or anyone else to validate herself. Paris herself seems to have some amazing traits and wonderful qualities, while simultaneously being just as human and flawed as the rest of us.
I certainly never knew Marilyn Monroe, nor did I know Princess Diana. Most people only know these people via the media and what they say about them, true, false, or a mixture of the two.
The fact is that only those people closest to Marilyn and Diana really know what they were like, and even with those people closest to them, Marilyn and Diana revealed or shared only as much as they chose to.
I feel moderately certain that like any one of us, Paris Hilton did not know either of these women apart from what was reported by media or public gossip. I highly doubt that she knew them on a personal level.
I think Paris has some great traits, and she can market and generate money where most people simply can’t. Let’s face it, if any one of us could go to a nightclub and be paid anywhere from 100 grand for a 20 minute gig, to 1.4 million for a 40 minute singing gig, let’s at least be honest enough to say we would snatch that up in a heartbeat.
In a capitalistic society, money represents power, freedom and independence. When Paris was in jail, that was the exact opposite, and that is why I believe she had such great anxiety about it. I do have one fear for Paris, that my mind visits once in a while. That fear is that the stalkarazzi takes it too far, and Paris gives a knee-jerk reaction and takes her 612 HP car and speeds off to elude the paparazzi but ends up in a terrible or fatal motor vehicle accident and she is permanently injured or dies from that.
I hate to think about that, and sadly, it is something that could happen. I hope with all my heart and soul that it doesn’t happen, so Paris, please be careful.

Paris may envie Myrilyn;but she altogether different than her.
The Dress was beautiful And Paris made it work for her.
I don’t think she will ever go wild and crash up a car,or something along those lines, Shes been at the game to long and is full of class and poise. Love the head band!

Charlie,
Paris never compared herself to Diana. It was a journalist who interviewed her and falsely quoted her saying “I think every decade has an iconic blonde, like Marilyn Monroe or Princess Diana and, right now, I’m that icon.”
That was the source of the false claim. It happens very often.
“Paris Hilton: Life On The Edge” is not one of Paris’ books. It’s someone else’s book. 🙂
You don’t have to worry about Paris. She’s a smart girl. She’ll never end up crazy and do something wild. She knows how to survive in the celebrity world! 🙂

Hi Admin:
I noticed that book “Paris Hilton: Life On The Edge” also had a lot of errors in it. The proof reader was perhaps very tired? I do remember reading that the book claimed that she denied trying to compare herself to either Marilyn or Diana. Ah yes, I do remember that quote now, yes, but sadly it seems that the first casualty of journalism is the same as the first casualty in war, and that is the truth.
I hope so, it would be heartbreaking to one day hear that she was mobbed by the stalk-arazzi paparazzi (notice how close that sounds to Nazi?)…. only to hear she was killed in a car crash trying to get away. If that ever happened, it would make me heart-sick.
Whether people like her, love her, hate her or feel apathy towards her, nobody can deny that she is perhaps the most famous name in the world, if not one of them.
A bit off the topic, but I was wondering whether or not it would be a viable venture to get rid of the MySpace posers/fakes that are pretending to be Paris Hilton. That is really pretty sick and twisted that people would do that, and there is, after all, only ONE true Paris Hilton.

You can’t belief half the things you goggle down anyway there full of half truths and plain lies. I’m under a gag order now because people can’t take the Truth. Marilyn and Paris both have the mystery thing alike. It follow Paris wherever she goes.

I did not say or suggest I believed Google results, but when I heard Paris being asked if she ever Googled herself, it got me curious enough to Google myself. Johnny gag order? How did that happen? Which country do you live in?
