I just finally watched episode 7 last night. I actually enjoyed the episode more than I thought I would after you said it was your least favourite, Admin. My least favourite episode is the first one. I didn’t hide the fact how much I disliked it and I still think it was put together wrong. There are a lot of things with that show that I don’t like (I still find the voice overs jarring, although I really do think the opening and closing ones work and would work even better if they were the only ones) but as a whole, I have enjoyed the show. Obviously we still have an episode to go but I think we’re able to judge it pretty well. It’s not at all what I expected it to be and there’s a part of me that was dissapointed that it’s not as ‘positive’ as I thought it was going to be. I enjoyed the show a lot more than My BFF. I know they’re completely different and the only way they’re similar is that Paris is in them. I’m glad the BFF show no more. I wish we had much more business in the show, I wish we saw Paris in the studio like she said we were going to see. I have my fingers crossed that we’ll see it in the last episode and she’ll use the finale as some sort of stepping stone into her second album (always so hopefuly about it, haha).
I’m not so sure we’re going to get a second season given the raitings BUT I wouldn’t mind another one. I’d hope that someone from Paris’ circle would read this site and would see what us fans like and don’t like and perhaps make some adjustments. I would say that I’d want the show to be more focused on just Paris’ life. I’d like to see more of Paris’ friendship with Jen because I don’t feel like we saw enough of her and she’s absolutely lovely. Obviously, the biggest thing is wanting to see Paris’ business side. From meetings (although, it makes sense that some stuff wouldn’t be shown on camera), photoshoots, Paris in the recording studio. They have such an opportunity to show a different side of Paris and instead of doing something insightful, I feel like that took a bit of a carbon copy route. Paris has always been a step ahead of everyone. Her reality show, her celebrity perfume line being one of the first, her album featuring the very beginnings of what the sound has been in the most recent years and working with some of the biggest producers today before they were huge (Fernando (Stars Are Blind), produced Gaga’s latest album, Dr. Luke produces Ke$ha’s, Katy Perry’s stuff and did Britney’s latest). Yet, this show just felt like any other current reality show but I was more interested because it was Paris.
The psychic said the 30’s will be Paris’ best years, so I think after this show and Paris’ summer holiday is done, she’ll be back with a bang. We have Drunk Text in August at the very least. So, that’ll be something!

Paris does not have to change to suit anyone, Elfie.
She is fine just being herself.
Where do you get off telling anyone what to do?
Work on yourself first – that should take up the rest of your life.

I agree Scot. My recommendation for the show if it gets renewed: 1) Don’t focus on Paris’s relationships. If she’s dating someone, it’s fine to mention it obviously, but I don’t want more relationship drama in the show unless she were to actually get pregnant or engaged. 2) Focus more on Jen, Paris’s family, and pets, and less on people like assistants and Alison. 3) At least half the show should be about Paris doing either charity work or business stuff/photo shoots/working on her music. 4) Showcase some of Paris’s secret talents. She’s always talked about loving to play hockey, going surfing, how she can play violin and piano, make lasagna, etc, so show her doing those things. 5) Cut the voiceovers in half. Sometimes they’re necessary, but sometimes they’re vapid and cringe-worthy and just make Paris look bad.
I think if the show does those 5 things, season 2 would be a lot better.

I agree, and I really would love to see the other side of her, but you guys have to remember that the show is directed to an audience, and I’m not sure if viewers will turn in to watch a show that doesn’t have drama. You have to keep that in mind. But I know what you guys mean…
Honestly, what’s so wrong with the baby voice, really? I really don’t think it’s a big deal. To me, it’s not as childish as people make it sound. I sometimes see Paris as a kid, honestly. She can definitely be child-like, but in a very pleasant (non-immature) way!

I get what you’re saying admin, but I think the show can easily balance drama/comedy and showing off Paris’s business side. Surely there’s some drama behind-the-scenes when she does interviews (like when her dress was too short for JKL) or launches or whatever. There were a lot of scenes in the series (her going shopping, Alison getting that tattoo, etc) that could have easily been replaced with Paris at work without taking away any drama from the show.
I agree about the baby voice, too. It’s not immature, it’s the voice she uses when she gets shy. I use a baby voice when I get shy, too, and so does my sister. I think a lot of people use one. It’s not a big deal at all. Paris is a kid at heart, so it bothers me when people say she needs to “grow up” and act 30. What does that even mean? You should act the age you feel, not the age you are.

Paris can’t please everyone. Therefore she is smart to live life to please herself.
Nothing wrong with that.
From her tweets , she seems to be quite happy and life is good for her.
So why fret about anything.

Personally, I love her baby voice! It’s cute. I think she knows when to use it and there’s nothing wrong with that. Even her voicemail is in her baby voice, its adorable.
